Electrical Technical Office Engineer

About the Role Alqotr is seeking an Electrical Technical Office Engineer to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position involves preparing and reviewing electrical designs and drawings for various projects, ensuring compliance with technical specifications and applicable codes. The role focuses on providing efficient and cost-effective engineering solutions while coordinating with multiple disciplines. Key Responsibilities Prepare and review electrical designs in accordance with project requirements, technical specifications, and applicable codes and standards. Design electrical systems including Lighting, Power, and Cable Routing. Prepare and design Low Current / ELV systems, such as Fire Alarm, Public Address, Structured Cabling, and CCTV. Prepare and review Shop Drawings and detailed execution drawings using AutoCAD and Revit. Develop BIM models and coordinate electrical systems with other disciplines, performing Clash Detection & Coordination using Navisworks. Prepare and review Single Line Diagrams (SLD), electrical layouts, Load Schedules, and required electrical design calculations. Prepare Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and perform quantity take-offs from drawings and BIM models. Prepare and review Material Submittals and Technical Submittals. Review drawings and specifications to ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and project requirements. Prepare RFIs and technical queries when discrepancies, conflicts, or unclear information are identified. Provide technical support to the site team during the execution of electrical works and coordinate with contractors, consultants, and other engineering disciplines. Prepare and review electrical cost estimates and quotations. Coordinate with the procurement team to select suitable materials and equipment in accordance with approved specifications. Identify and propose Value Engineering opportunities to optimize project costs without compromising quality or functionality. Update drawings based on approved design changes and project revisions, and prepare As-Built Drawings. Support Testing & Commissioning activities and provide technical assistance when required. Experience Required Candidates should possess 5-10 years of experience in a relevant electrical engineering role, demonstrating a strong background in technical office functions and project coordination.
