Join a US$6.2 billion portfolio of active, large-scale projects across Green Power, Site Infrastructure and Mobility, including the decarbonisation of Fortescue’s HME and LME fleets. These are complex, challenging projects with real momentum, where your expertise can help shape how they’re delivered. We’re building a pipeline of Senior and Lead Cost Controllers to support projects across Fortescue. Depending on your experience, you’ll lead or contribute to cost control across major construction and execution projects. Mining experience is highly regarded. Working closely with project teams, you’ll bring sharp cost insight, clear reporting and sound commercial judgement to help manage performance and keep delivery on track. Be part of a team turning ambition into outcomes. Key Responsibilities What you may be involved in Preparing and monitoring budgets, forecasts and capital expenditure. Tracking costs, commitments and actuals, and investigating variances. Preparing cost reports and turning capital data into useful insights. Supporting month-end processes, including change management, earned value with progress and accruals. Maintaining cost structures and data across project systems. Reviewing contractor claims, invoices and payment documentation. Identifying cost risks and supporting practical actions to manage them. Working with project controls, project teams, finance, contracts and procurement and contractors. At senior and lead levels, improving processes and supporting or developing team members. About you We welcome expressions of interest from senior and lead Cost Control practitioners. Your background includes extensive knowledge and understanding of major project cost control, with commercial acumen in a program based environment. You’ll bring sound analytical skills, attention to detail and the ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders. Experience with SAP and advanced Excel is valuable; familiarity with Omega PIMS (or similiar) with Power BI may also be useful. Relevant qualifications and experience will depend on the opportunity.
