Engineering Manager Power Generation and Utilities

You will lead the design, commissioning, operation, and improvement of automation, controls, and electrical systems for a power-generation facility. You will manage engineers, review technical designs, coordinate contractors and vendors, lead commissioning, and improve reliability. Responsibilities ---------------- * Own automation, controls, and electrical scope for power-generation assets * Lead controls work for balance-of-plant systems and supporting utilities * Build, mentor, and manage automation and controls engineers and technicians * Review and approve control philosophies, diagrams, schematics, and panel designs * Standardize DCS, PLC, and SCADA architecture and engineering practices * Coordinate with engineering, construction, OEMs, and contractors * Develop scopes of work and manage contractor work * Lead field commissioning, testing, start-up, and hand-off * Drive root-cause investigations and reliability improvements Requirements ------------ * Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field * 8+ years of automation and controls engineering experience * Industrial power-generation or large-scale critical-power infrastructure experience * 3+ years leading or managing engineers * Ability to work on-site at the Southaven power-generation facility * Ability to perform hands-on work in hazardous and outdoor environments * Ability to lift up to 25 lbs * Ability to provide 24/7 on-call emergency support
