You will design world and scene representation systems, spatial data structures, and mapping pipelines for large-scale simulations. You will write optimized C++ for low-latency real-time systems, profile performance-critical code, and help define architecture and APIs for cross-domain autonomy integration. Responsibilities ---------------- * Design and implement spatial data structures, entity component systems, spatial indexing, occupancy representations, and 4D object management * Build and optimize computational geometry and world-state systems * Write optimized C++20 for low-latency, cache-efficient, memory-conscious systems * Profile hot paths, eliminate allocations, and improve real-time performance * Drive architectural decisions and design APIs for cross-domain autonomy integration Requirements ------------ * 2+ years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience * Expert-level C++20 or later skills, including template metaprogramming, move semantics, SIMD, and systems-level performance optimization * Experience building world or scene representations with dynamic object state, spatial indexing, and real-time updates * Computational geometry knowledge, including coordinate transformations, spatial data structures, geometric algorithms, and collision or proximity systems * Experience designing low-latency, high-throughput real-time software * Python and shell scripting proficiency * Experience with agentic coding tools and AI-assisted development workflows * Willingness to travel up to once a month for up to one week * U.S. citizenship * Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance Benefits -------- * Equity * Health, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance * 401k retirement benefits with employer match * Learning and wellness stipends * Paid time off
