The Accountant will manage day-to-day bookkeeping, prepare journal entries, reconcile bank and ledger accounts, and maintain accurate financial records. Responsibilities include preparing financial statements, assisting with budgeting and forecasting, supporting tax compliance and regulatory filings, and collaborating with auditors as needed. The role also involves analyzing financial data, identifying variances, providing clear reports to management, and supporting clients with accounting queries across various industries. The Accountant is expected to follow internal controls and professional standards while contributing to continuous process improvement.Qualifications Strong technical accounting skills, including general ledger management, financial statement preparation, and account reconciliations. Experience with tax compliance, regulatory reporting, and interaction with external auditors or regulatory bodies. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel, with the ability to work with large data sets and produce clear financial reports. Solid analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy in all financial records. Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain financial information clearly to clients and colleagues. Ability to work on-site in Limassol Municipality, manage multiple deadlines, and collaborate in a professional team environment. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional qualifications (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CPA) are considered an asset. Prior experience in public practice or professional services, ideally working with clients in sectors such as funds, real estate, or logistics, is beneficial.
