The Dental Billing Specialist is responsible for accurately and efficiently handling the billing and insurance-related tasks within a dental practice. Responsibilities: Review patient accounts and bills for accuracy, completeness, and proper billing distribution. Prepare and submit electronic claims using Denticon billing software. Follow up on unpaid claims and monitor accounts within established billing timelines. Verify insurance eligibility and coverage, handling at least 55 insurance verifications daily. Review insurance payments, bill secondary/tertiary coverage, and ensure contract discounts are accurate. Collect co-pays, issue receipts, post and reconcile payments, and maintain accurate billing data. Qualifications: At least one (1) year of dental billing experience. At least six (6) months to one (1) year of experience in performing inbound/outbound calls. At least six (6) months to one (1) year of experience in calling insurance companies for insurance verification.
