Overview Director of Business Development, Payments at Roblox in San Mateo, CA. This role leads the buildout of Roblox’s payments and wallets strategy, including partnerships, orchestration, creator payouts, and cross-functional execution. Responsibilities Own global payment partnerships, deal execution, and strategy across internal and external stakeholders. - Lead RFPs and negotiations with payment processors and financial institutions - Build and execute a multi-partner payment orchestration strategy - Drive creator payout modernization and partnership strategy - Lead cross-functional deal teams across Legal, Finance, Privacy, and Engineering - Develop strategies for emerging markets, FX volatility, and local payment methods - Translate commercial needs into technical requirements and integration standards - Monitor authorization rates, fraud thresholds, and other payment performance metrics - Evaluate emerging technologies such as AI agents and blockchain rails Requirements Candidates should bring deep payments and business development experience with the ability to operate in a highly ambiguous environment. - 10+ years of business development experience in consumer financial services, digital payments, fintech, or digital wallets - Proven track record building a payments division or financial product line from zero to one - Ability to communicate technical concepts and business impacts effectively - Understanding of global regulatory topics including KYC/AML, PSD2, and card network rules - Experience negotiating with payment networks, acquirers, and banks - Strong analytical skills for ROI, forecasting, and payment metrics - Experience leading multiple workstreams and influencing executive decision-making Benefits The role includes equity compensation and standard full-time employee benefits. - Annual salary range: $276,310 to $310,810 USD - Equity compensation - Full-time employee benefits - Onsite schedule Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday for office-based roles Source https://careers.roblox.com/jobs/7604271?gh_jid=7604271
