Strategic Account Executive (Rome - Italy)

Overview Datadog is hiring a Strategic Account Executive in Rome, Italy to sell to large enterprise customers and grow new business. This is a remote role with regular travel and a focus on enterprise prospecting, account ownership, and closing deals. Responsibilities Own and grow strategic enterprise territory coverage and relationships. - Prospect into large Fortune 1000 companies while running an efficient sales process - Maintain, build, and own relationship maps for your territory - Develop a deep comprehension of the customer's business - Negotiate pricing and business terms by selling value and ROI - Handle existing customer expectations while expanding reach and depth into the territory - Demonstrate resourcefulness when faced with difficult challenges - Identify business drivers behind opportunities - Ensure high forecasting accuracy and consistency Requirements Datadog is seeking candidates with substantial closing and enterprise sales experience, preferably in innovative tech environments. - 5+ years of closing experience, including mid-market and enterprise field selling - Met or exceeded direct sales goals of 1M+ - Average deal size of $100k+ - Able to prospect and build pipeline independently - Experience in SaaS, IT infrastructure, or similar tech companies preferred - Experience selling to large Fortune 1000 companies and winning new logos - Role requires regular travel to client sites within your area and other regions Benefits Datadog offers performance-based earning potential and a range of growth and wellbeing benefits.
